5-DAY BIBLE READING PLAN
Week 2 — Salvation: The Gift We Could Never Earn
Each day includes full NLT text and a short reflection, just as you prefer.
DAY 1 — The Truth About Us
Romans 3:23–24 (NLT)
“For everyone has sinned… Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight…”
Reflection:
We start with the mirror — truth before transformation. The same God who reveals the crack restores the reflection. Grace begins where our control ends.
DAY 2 — The Problem We Couldn’t Solve
Romans 3:10–12 (NLT)
“No one is righteous— not even one…”
Reflection:
We aren’t saved because we finally got it right. We’re saved because Jesus stepped into the place we could never stand. This passage humbles us, but it also prepares our hearts for grace.
DAY 3 — The Angled Mirror
Romans 5:1 (NLT)
“Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God…”
Reflection:
Stop adjusting the angles. Stand behind Jesus. When we see ourselves through Him, peace arrives. When we see others through Him, compassion grows.
DAY 4 — The Gift We Could Never Earn
Romans 3:25–26 (NLT)
“For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin…”
Reflection:
The gospel in one breath: God didn’t lower the standard; He lifted us to it. Salvation isn’t a wage — it’s a gift you unwrap with faith.
DAY 5 — The Hope That Holds Us
Romans 5:6–9 (NLT)
“When we were utterly helpless… Christ came at just the right time…”
Reflection:
He loved you at your worst — He’ll sustain you in your weakness. Hope is grace projected forward, steadying you for whatever comes next.
