James 1:13–18 helps us see what happens when trials begin to turn into temptation. James reminds us that temptation does not come from God; it grows when our desires become distorted and we begin reaching for shortcuts instead of trusting Him.
This week we’ll learn to recognize the progression from desire → temptation → sin → death, while also remembering the truth about God: He is good, He gives good gifts, and He gives grace.
Sin deceives and destroys. God is good, giving, and gracious.
