When the Story Is Bigger Than You Think – Personal Reflection

Craig Smee-This Changes Everything

PERSONAL REFLECTION (5 Questions)

(Expanded, pastoral, practical — for your weekly Reflection Post.)

1. Where am I relying on my effort instead of God’s mercy to hold my story together?
Romans 9 reminds us the promise moves by mercy, not performance.
Reflect on a place where you’ve been trying to “qualify” yourself instead of resting in His choosing.

2. What part of my life feels uncertain — and how does God’s sovereignty speak to that uncertainty?
Where does Romans 9–11 invite you to trust what you cannot see?

3. Where is the Holy Spirit prompting obedience that I’ve delayed?
Romans 10 shows salvation moves through believing and responding.
Ask: “Where is the Spirit nudging me, and what step can I take today?”

4. Who in my life might God be sending me to?
“Beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”
Who needs your obedience this week — a conversation, an invitation, a prayer?

5. What promise of God do I need to trust again?
Romans 11 anchors us in this:
“God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn.”
Where do you need to recover confidence in what God began?
