The War We Don’t See
Revelation 10–14 (NLT)
Living ready means fighting from victory, not for it.
The Lamb has already won the war — we’re called to stand, speak, and stay faithful.
From Trumpets to Tensions
Heaven’s warnings echo through creation — mercy wrapped inside judgment.
The trumpets aren’t only future events; they’re patterns—portraits of how humanity has always responded to God’s call. Different centuries, same hearts.
Every blast exposes our posture toward heaven: some worship, some worry.
Same sound, two responses.
Summary of the Six Trumpets — Humanity’s Repeated Responses

The redeemed worship; the rebellious worry.
The trumpet reveals the heart.
And while heaven calls, the world still shakes—because there’s a war behind it all.
The Kaleidoscope of Visions
After the sixth trumpet, John receives another vision.
Revelation isn’t linear—it’s layered, like a kaleidoscope.
Each turn shows the same story from heaven’s view, earth’s view, the Church’s view, and even the enemy’s.
When those lenses align—past, present, and future—Christ returns and history fulfills its purpose.
The Angel and the Small Scroll (Revelation 10)
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, surrounded by a cloud, with a rainbow over his head. His face shone like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. And in his hand was a small scroll that had been opened. He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.—Revelation 10:1–2 (NLT)
One foot on land, one on sea—heaven declaring total authority.
The open scroll—God’s revealed Word — sweet because salvation is real, bitter because many will reject it.
Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”—Revelation 10:11 (NLT)
John eats the scroll, taking in the Gospel personally so he can proclaim it publicly.
The Church is recommissioned to speak again.
Every word from heaven carries full authority on earth.
The Era of Witness (Revelation 11)
And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will be clothed in burlap and will prophesy during those 1,260 days.—Revelation 11:3 (NLT)
Between the sixth and seventh trumpets, heaven gives another lens—an image of the Church’s witness.
Two witnesses represent the faithful, Spirit-empowered Church. Humble but unstoppable.
“And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.”—Matthew 24:14 (NLT)
This is the era we live in—the age of witness.
Faithfulness is louder than fear.
The Seventh Trumpet — Heaven’s Declaration of Completion
Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”—Revelation 11:15 (NLT)
Trumpet 7 – The Kingdom Declared (Revelation 11:15–19)
Heaven’s Event: The final trumpet sounds.
Loud voices proclaim Christ’s eternal reign. Heaven’s temple opens; the Ark appears; lightning, thunder, and earthquake follow—signs of God’s presence.
Meaning: Not another calamity—a coronation.
Judgment becomes justice; heaven celebrates the rightful reign of the Lamb.
Redeemed Response: Worship.
The faithful rejoice—the King has taken His throne.
Rebellious Response: Terror.
Those who resisted grace realize too late that Jesus reigns.
The last trumpet doesn’t announce destruction—it announces dominion. The King has come.
The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon (Revelation 12:1–6)
Then I witnessed in heaven an event of great significance. I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant, and she cried out because of her labor pains and the agony of giving birth.
Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept away one-third of the stars in the sky, and he threw them to the earth. He stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her baby as soon as it was born.
She gave birth to a son who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And her child was snatched away from the dragon and was caught up to God and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place to care for her for 1,260 days.—Revelation 12:1–6 (NLT)
The woman symbolizes God’s covenant people—Israel, and now the Church carrying Christ’s presence.
The child is Jesus, the promised ruler.
The dragon is Satan, the deceiver.
Heaven births salvation; hell resists it.
But the wilderness is God’s protection, not punishment.
When God births something in you, hell will try to stop it—but heaven has already made room for it.
The War Behind the War (Revelation 12:7–17)
Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.—Revelation 12:7–9 (NLT)
Satan is defeated but still deceptive—raging because his time is short.
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.—Revelation 12:11 (NLT)
Our victory:
The Blood of the Lamb — what Jesus accomplished.
The Word of Our Testimony — our redeemed responses.
A Surrendered Life — continual alignment with His will.
Deception — The Devil’s Favorite Weapon (Revelation 13)
And with all the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he deceived all the people who belong to this world.—Revelation 13:14 (NLT)
The enemy twists truth, counterfeiting everything God made good.
He sells control as safety.
Truth is the believer’s only mark.
Who owns your allegiance?
Endurance — Our Expression of Faith (Revelation 14:12)
This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.—Revelation 14:12 (NLT)
Endurance isn’t hiding—it’s holding.
Patience isn’t weakness—it’s worship under pressure.
Every time you keep believing when quitting looks easier, heaven notices.
Perseverance is worship when the pressure rises.
The Lamb Still Reigns (Revelation 14:1–5)
Then I saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.—Revelation 14:1 (NLT)
The Lamb stands steady; the redeemed stand with Him.
144,000 symbolizes:
Prophetic: Israel preserved—God keeps His covenant.
Symbolic: The complete redeemed Church—every tribe and tongue.
**No matter the war around us, our victory stands with Him.
Living Ready in the Middle of the War
The trumpets reveal humanity’s heart.
The scroll reveals the Gospel.
The witnesses reveal our mission.
The woman and the dragon reveal the real war.
We don’t fight for victory—we fight from it.
Standing in truth, speaking with courage, enduring with faith—this is how we live ready.
Faith Declaration:
I will not fear what the world can do.
I will walk in the victory already won by the Lamb.
His Word is my weapon.
My testimony is my strength.
Endurance is my worship.
